Since 1971, Mid-Cumberland Action Agency has helped low-income residents of Middle Tennessee become self-sufficient.
Community Action Agencies were created as a result of the Economic Act of 1964 to fight America's war on poverty.
MCCAA receives funding from the Tennessee Department of Human Services through the Community Services Block Grant
and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It also receives funding from the United Way and private
investment contributions.
